FAQ

Locksmith questions, answered plainly

Practical answers about visits, costs, coverage, and what to bring. Service-specific questions also sit on each service page.

Are you a mobile locksmith?

Yes. The visit comes to the vehicle or the property. You are not asked to bring a car lock to a counter.

Which services do you offer?

Automotive, residential, and commercial locksmith work, including smart lock installation. Emergency requests are accepted. The services page links to each job.

Do you publish prices?

No price list is published. A trip fee applies. The cost of the work is agreed in USD before it starts.

What if I am locked out after dark?

Emergency requests are accepted. At night, call +1 (866) 968-5301. The website form is not a channel for immediate emergency help. A public schedule and 24/7 coverage are not listed.

Can you make a key if I have none left?

Often, for cars that allow on-site origination and programming, and for building locks that can be rekeyed or replaced. The car key and rekey pages explain the difference.

Will you open a car or a home without proof of ownership?

No. Bring documents that show you own the vehicle or property, or may authorize the work. Do not upload those documents through the website form.

Do you cover my city?

Service is arranged in Sacramento and nearby cities. Ask, and include the location on the request. Extra city names are not listed here.

Do you install smart locks?

Yes. Smart lock installation is part of lock repair and installation. The visit fits and tests the hardware.

Is ignition repair the same as a mechanic?

No. The ignition page is for the cylinder and the key. A car that cranks electrically with a key that turns is a different trade.

How do I ask about personal information from a request?

Email information@effint.com. The privacy policy explains how website requests are handled.

Still unsure which service you need?

Describe the symptom. We will point the visit at the right job.
