A key that starts the car
The result you should be able to test before the technician leaves.
Keys
Replacement car keys at the vehicle, including lost keys and spares. Programming is quoted when the car requires it.
Car key replacement covers a lost key, a stolen key, a worn key, or a spare you want while you still have one that works. Many modern keys are not only a cut blade. A chip or a fob has to match the car, so replacement and programming are often the same visit.
Bring the year, make, and model, and say how many working keys remain. Zero keys is a different job from copying one good key. If the key broke off in the ignition, mention that too so ignition time is included in the plan.
Effint does not publish a universal price. The cost is for your vehicle and is agreed in USD before cutting or programming begins. A trip fee applies.

On the visit
The result you should be able to test before the technician leaves.
Usually the simpler visit, because the car already has a known key.
Originating a key, which may take longer and may include programming.
Chip keys that the car must recognise, not only a matching blade.
If the replacement includes buttons, fob programming is part of the same conversation.
Ask for a short description of what was supplied, useful for insurance or a fleet file.
Common situations
Say so clearly. Security and programming both matter more than a simple copy.
A working key on hand usually shortens the visit.
A fresh cut may solve it. If the cylinder is damaged, ignition or door lock repair is the real job.
That may be fob repair, replacement, or programming. Describe what still works.
A spare, made while a working key exists, is the straightforward version of replacement. A lost-key job may require originating a key for that car and then programming it. If the missing item is only the remote, use key fob replacement.
If the doors are locked and the last key is inside, start with car lockout service. Replacement can follow once you are in, if you want a second key.
Replacement is arranged for many common cars and light trucks. The exact key depends on the model year, not the badge alone. There is no separate page for each manufacturer. Put the make on the request.
Questions
Yes, when the vehicle can be matched on site and you can show you may request the key. Tell us if the key was lost, stolen, or worn out. A stolen key should be treated as a security issue, not only a spare.
Often, for transponder and proximity keys. If programming is required, it is part of the quote, not a surprise add-on after the blade is cut. The programming page explains that step on its own.
No. Cost follows the year, make, model, key type, and whether a working key remains to copy. A trip fee applies. The cost of the work is agreed in USD before it starts.
If you have a working key, say so. A spare is usually simpler than originating a key when none exists. Worn keys that barely turn may still need a fresh cut.
These pages cover a neighboring job in more detail.
Send the year, make, model, city, and how many working keys you still have.
